Say Doc,
Why do you use Windows to send faxes?

My setup over here handles voice / fax with no problem
I tend to run mgetty+sendfax+vgetty
  sendfax handles all incoming faxes
vgetty does voice mail . It works sort of like an answering machine
however I encapsulate the messages in mime and mail them to my account.

For sending faxes, I just stop mgetty and use hylafax out of SGI...

My modem is a zyxel 1496.

At any rate , I am very happy with my setup and I can telnet to my home
box to check on my voice, fax or mail messages...

	Regards,
	Amancio
