Hi there,
I am running FreeBSD-2.0.5 on a venturis 4100. Since I
installed it a month or so ago it ran without complaint, but today it just gave up.
I can open xterms but they wont give me a prompt. In
single user mode the machine stalls just after logging in
again, without providing a prompt.
If I reboot the machine, although I can not use the machine itself,
I can telnet in, it wont work with rsh, and use all the facilities of the machine.
Does anybody know what might be going on. Just before it started acting crazy the X facilities slowed down with
very noticable delays.
I would appreciate any help.
thanks,
turlough
