Hi folks,
I've got a 486 33 happily running UUCP and POP as our
mail gateway, but occasionally the console video will
crash resulting in a screen that has a bunch of vertical
stripes (where the screen would be blank) and blocks
where the text would be. Off hand, it looks like
something is stepping on video memory. All bios
shadowing is turned off. Network services seem
to continue to run just fine. I can telnet, POP, ftp
etc.

FreeBSD version is 2.0.5-950622-SNAP. Hardware is a
486-33 isa clone with a trident tvga8900(C?) video card,
adaptec AH1542b, ne-2000 clone, and io card. In short,
super-generic isa hardware. I'm not running X at all,
just the console (text) screens.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
