Well there is a software only implementation of OpenGL for basically
any Unix workstation which runs X (I use it under NetBSD, so I am sure it 
will work under FreeBSD :-) called 'Mesa'. You can find out more information 
at the author's mesa page:

I am sure archie will come up with a site which may be closer to you.
