I'm soliciting comments from anyone, particularly ISP's, who have
switched from BSDI to FreeBSD (or vice-versa). Our ability to buy
cheap BSDI binaries may end soon, and it isn't cost effective to pay
$2000 for an operating system for a terminal server. My main concern
is support for the Digiboard PC/Xem and synchronous cards like the
RISCom/N2. I understand the ET/5025 is supported, but it is nice to have
more choices.

In general, how portable is binary code from BSDI to FreeBSD? Can one
generally rule out driver compatibility?

Thanks,

David Brunell
