Not quite clear which bootloader you're refering to, but keep in mind
that you can access the whole drive by `/dev/r[sw]d0', or the BSD
slice by `/dev/r[sw]d0s[1-4]'.  Use dd to copy a single sector.

If you think about the BSD bootstrap, ``disklabel -B'' is your friend.
