I know there must be a simple fix for this problem (like make the
boot floppies and press 8') ) but I haven't had any luck on my own. When
installing 2.0.5R from CD the "easy" way from dos, the install kernel
prints some segment sizes and then dies with the following message:

EMM386: Unrecoverable privileged operation error #1 - press enter to reboot

I am running dos 6.22, Windows is exited, and EMM386 is running (with the
-noems memory option). The hardware is a 90Mhz Pentium

This is not a major problem because I will go ahead and make the boot
floppies, but I would still like to know what the solution is.

Thanks in advance,
Raymond C. Maple
