I've been trying to get pppd to work over a dialin line (I followed the
steps in the handbook). However, everytime I log in, and start pppd, a
message something like "inapropriate ioctl for device" pops up on the
server console. But ppp still sorta works. I can ping the server, but
that's about it. Telneting or ftping to the server is outta the
question. Sometimes I get this cool kernel panic and the system crashes.
What gives?

btw, running over ttyd00

any suggestions? thanx

Tom
