I am using a Digital DECserver 700 it has been troublefree from day one.
I used it for a time with bootp to load it's software off of FreeBSD 2.0R
however now it is booting off of flash card and only loads IP from bootp.
I have eBones compiled into my FreeBSD system and validate kerberos
password/usernames on the terminal server using that method.
the software on the terminal server supports slip/ppp with appletalk, tcp/ip
and ipx support in the ppp. also supports kerberos cleartext validation or
kerberos validation in pap or chap mode or non-kerberos (one password for all)
pap authentication, I wrote a daemon to gather logging info off of port 1
on the server and toss it into syslogd using a null-modem cable.

supports 115.2 kbps per port with an aggregate or something 200 or 250 kBps
(kBYTES/sec) so you can support full speed on all ports with 33.2 kbps modems.
