I have exactly this same problem when trying to build the
system. (Smaller compiles seem to go OK). Re-running make will usually
continue and compile a few more things and then it happens again,
howeever it seems to get stuck on some files, forcing me to reboot and
then continue. Sounds like something is being left hanging around in
memory after cc runs but who knows? Any thoughts or patches???

Also, I've installed X and it seems to work fairly well with a
few exceptions (literally)...(floating point to be exact). Two things
that will invariably cause the exceptions are Xeyes and starting a
second Xclock. Xgif runs fine as well as Xterm. Probably has something
to do with the math used to draw circles???? I should also mention that
the motherboard I'm using has an 80*2*87 and not an 80*3*87 installed,
but I'm of the impression that the 2 are compatible. Could it be that
they're not and that BSD is using some 387 specific code???

AND while I'm typing... I've installed CDGs com patches and there
was some improvement in attainable speeds, but I still can't run SLIP or
Zmodem at 9600 baud. (Get those SILO overflow errors). Is it possible
to run 9600+ with an 16450 under BSD or should I just give up and get
16550s? Will the 550s allow it?

Sorry... all questions... no answers. Tim
