Hello,

I am using an exabyte 4200c 4mm DAT drive to do some backups and I have
been trying to figure out how to retension the tape when I am doing
seeks/reads/writes all the time. The eom command is not accepted and
from looking through the various kernel code, I cannot figure out how to
retension tapes.

Am I missing something obvious here or does everyone have backup
strategies that don't require retensioning?

Thanks,

Alan Laird
