That rumor is only partially correct.  Several months ago, I hacked config.new
to DTRT with the ccd, but that wasn't really the correct solution.  My
current version of the ccd does dynamic configuration, has no limit to the
number of components, has primitive (will improve) disklabel support,
and I'm working on making some of its internals better.  It's not ready
for prime-time (even though I rely on it, since it's where all my source
lives :-), but `stay tuned'.
