I ordered FreeBSD 1.1 (May 1994) from Walnut Creek last year. I had no
trouble installing it on my 386DX-40 and it ran fine.
I recently upgraded to a 486DX4-100 processor and I am using an EIDE
controller instead of a IDE. When I went to boot FreeBSD, the system hanged
(with the same or simular message to the one below). So I reinstalled
FreeBSD, the installation runs without any errors. But when I try to boot
FreeBSD off the hard drive I get the following message and then my system
hangs.

I can boot from floppy without problems, however, I cannot do very
much. The answer may well be that I need to upgrade to FreeBSD 2.0.
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW what does that message mean?? the first line I understand, but not
the second and third lines.
