You could just replace Linux with FreeBSD, keeping the same partition
setups. After installing FreeBSD, make sure you tell it to leave the
MBR alone. After rebooting, FreeBSD will be the "active" partition.
You can change this by booting from a DOS floppy and use fdisk to mark
the boot manager as active or use the OS/2 install disks.. If you want
to change the name in the boot manager menu, use the OS/2 install
disks. <caveat> I'm not running Linux, so I'm not familiar with LILO.
