I had encountered the similar problem.  I have a few questions about your
setting of the system.

1. Can you contact the www.freebsd.org using the FreeBSD box.
2. Did you setup the server for your netscape (dos machine).

If you haven't, try to get the correct name server (IP address) and try again.
