SCSI-3 is mostly marketing, right now.

Most products that claim SCSI-3 compatibility
just use the 68pin WIDE SCSI connector, while 
SCSI-2 expected a split 8bit + 8bit cable to 
be used (i.e. one normal 50pin SCSI cable plus 
another duplicating some of the control lines
and providing the other 8bit of data).

There shouldn't be any problems to use a drive
sold as SCSI-3 compliant with the 53c825 and the 
current FreeBSD driver.
