Hello everybody,

I'm new to this group and I hope this Question isn't in the FAQ 'cos I didn't
found it while browsing through about 800 articles.

I noticed some articles about the Diamond Stealth and the 'boycott' of
information from Diamond about the card.

My problems are:
I'm using a Speedstar Plus Hicolor with 386BSD and X386
but I only get pixel-clocks > 45 MHz apart from the standard
25 and 28 MHz clocks from the standard VGA
My monitors specs tell me that it can do 35.5 kHz horizontal-
frequency but I'm running it with 37.6 kHz.
While I can get a very nice 640x480 mode, it's nealy impossible
to get a working 800x600 mode because the picture is sqeezed in
width. I think I could get a better view if my monitor could work
with higher hor.-freq., but that would mean to buy a new monitor
	which are about 2000,- DM (~ 1000,- $) I think.

If it would be possible to use the HiColor mode , I think the
picture would be better. I could use the higher frequencies, because
the card has to read two bytes to display one pixel, so the picture
	becomes unsqeezed. Am I right?

I hope there is some help to my problem, if not I think I will add my name
to the list of Diamond Curse

Thanks in advance
