try the DOS Fdisk /mbr forma a boootable dos crash disk.. I mad a dos
crash disk up.. and copied the fdisk executable from a riunning dos
machine..

then just load the crash disk in your floppie drive (a).. and once the
machine is bootoed on the dos command.com.. just enter fdisk /mbr  that
should bring your hardrives master boot block back to a dos type of
allocation. you should beable to reformat the c: drives partition(s) .....
