Subject: 2.0.5R: no way to disklabel hd :-(

I've installed FreeBSD-2.0.5-RELEASE via ftp onto a 1gig IBM
drive using the updated boot.flp. Installation was ok.

When I tried to reboot, the system returned the error `Missing
operating system'.
So I booted from another FBSD-hd and used this drive to boot
from the newly installed system (using hd(1,a)/kernel). This
worked (checked the installation: all was there).
Then I spent the whole day trying to disklabel the disk in order
to make it boot by itself - alas, without any luck :-(((

Did anybody encounter this type of error? With a solution to
it perhaps?
