Just a followup for those of you "losing" your default router entry
for no clear reason.  The following command *does* appear to fix
the problem - at least its been running 24 hours or so with no
repetition of "Indiana BSD And The Lost Router" 8-) -

route add -lockrest default your-default-router

For a clearer explanation of *why* this happens, you might check
out Bill Paul's thoughtful description here a few days ago ...

I'd be interested to hear how others of you with this problem solved
it, if at all ...
