In my ever prevalent quest to get X386 to work.. I have come
up with the following confusion...

When I try to run X386 or xinit, it crashes.. does nothing,
makes no changes to my video mode, nothing except a core.X386
file

<EXCEPT>

when I _JUST_ started the Unix partition for the first time after
making my MSDOS Partition active.. then it starts flipping graphics
modes, and just kinda sits there with a textured background screen..

I dono..  Help..
