: There is great trouble on Usenet.
:
: Somebody must have released a new newsreader, while being complete
: ignorant about Usenet-functionality and RFCs.
:
: This newsreader seems to be written for a standalone mailbox without any
: network connectivity only, where there is no need for any hostname, so
: putting only the user-name into the Headers will be ok.
:
: Now, this terribly broken newsreader has been released to Usenet, and
: there are thousands and thousands of articles spamming usenet with un-

:
: I found out that this newsreader identifies itself with the string
: "Mozilla". This reminds me of Godzilla, some Japanese monster: Just like

:
: To solve this problem, i now have written a small cancel-daemon, that
: will cancel all articles on Usenet bearing the string "Mozilla" in the
: Newsreader-Header. Hope this helps.

Uh-oh, "Mozilla" is the "cool" name for NetScape. I wonder which versions
are the offenders? With the popularity of NetScape, this could be a real
serious problem. Maybe you should drop a note (bug report) to netscape.com.
