I don't know of an easy way for this if you are going to destroy your
root partition.  You should try to build a ``fixit'' floppy for
yourself and stuff it with the needed utilities.  I think there's a
sample `fixit' configuration in the crunchgen source dir, but i don't
think there's any ready-to-run solution available by now.  (If you've
got one, please let us know!)

Sigh, somebody was going to collect'em and put'em in the man page for
boot_i386.

-c	run UserConfig

-s	single-user boot, don't go multi-user

-d	jump to DDB before probing devices

-v	`verbose' boot, gives more informational messages

-h	toggle graphics/serial console

Don't know about the other without grepping through the source.
