Sitting, working. Suddenly realized that Anthony Hill wrote:

Khm... I still have ALPHA from Tuesday morning, but adduser is somewhere 
in the path. BTW, there is a bug in it -- at least on my system, it 
attempts to send mail to a new user BEFORE the user is created -- so 
mail comes back to root (-:
