I've been unable to install 2.0.5-REL on a machine that ran the latest
SNAP without a problem and runs DOS without any disk-related problems
I keep getting an error code of 10<no_id> on some writes when making the
root fs.
The disk is a Micropolis 1558 ESDI ( 1224 cyl 15 hds 35 sect.) connected
to a WD1007 controller which remaps it to 814 cyl 15 hds 51 sect which is
also the geometry DOS uses.
When I run FreeBSD fdisk from the boot floppy ( I have tried the original
and the one from UPDATES), it keep showing the geometry as 840 cyls
which is wrong, even if I manually enter 814 cyls.
When I enable badblock detection it detect a bad block every 35 blocks
which looks very suspicious to me. Even after a low level format it keeps
finding bad blocks every 35 blocks.

Any suggestions ???

TIA
	Paul
