1) Check your permissions (on /usr/bin/finger, and on /tmp)
2) Check your permissions on utmp/wtmp (if I remember correctly, utmp has
	information about current logins, wtmp has info about past logins)


I've been bitten by this in my attempt to make the system "rabidly" secure :-)
