I had a laptop with a PS/2 mouse running the 950412 snapshot; I'd be
surprised if it had broken since then. You have to build a new kernel
to include PS/2 mouse support, but it seemed to work fine for me.

Add these options to your config file to build a new kernel:
	options ALLOW_CONFLICT_IOADDR
device psm0	at isa? port "IO_KBD" tty irq 12 vector psmintr

Given that most recent laptops (all that I've seen) have PS/2 mice or
mouse ports, it's too bad that there (apparently) isn't a
PS/2-mouse-compatible kernel available by default.
