Ok, I give,

I can't use the xarchie or xgopher clients that i sucked down from the packages
archive. I get the pull down menus, but as I move my curser down, the menu
options don't highlight!

I've paged through about as much FAQ as I can handle right now, and would
really appreciate a pointer in the right direction...

Completely re-installed, Now running FreeBSD 2.0.5R, I used the wonderful
install package that came with it to configure, and it all works.

EXCEPT for these 'packages' that are already pre-compiled to work on this
ystem.
