I just have the /etc/rc file mount the drive types that I want
(it could even mount just the partitions if you're picky)
rather than "-a". That lets me define lots of nfs mounts, the cdrom,
the floppy, the tape drive, in /etc/fstab and not have to worry
about them being automounted at boot time.
