Hello Netlanders,


I'm running a modem server that "rlogin"s the dialup users to the
main SLIP/PPP gateway (FreeBSD1.1.5.1 box).

But sliplogin/pppd doesn't work as expected:

Jun 12 10:26:49 hq -sliplogin[9746]: ioctl(TIOCSETD): Inappropriate ioctl for device

and

Jun 12 22:43:27 hq pppd[17141]: ioctl(TIOCSETD): Inappropriate ioctl for device


Is there a way to allow slip/ppp logins over a pty ?

PS: sliplogin/pppd works fine with directly attached modems.
