Well, I followed both suggestions -- disabled npx0 and stopped messing with
an "emergency shell". I was also holding my breath (-:. From the second time
it worked out. And as now I already have recompiled the kernel for my
devices.

My life is fine except for one thing -- how to make vnode devices?
My kernel should support them, but MAKEDEV fails. Which man-page to read?
Thanks!
