I use Kermit, it is available from Cloumbia University, (ftp to
kermit.columbia.edu) You can also get a port to FreeBSD from ftp.cdrom.com.
The file name is cku190.tar.gz I think. I'm pretty sure that's it. Anyway,
that is a pretty good terminal program. I use it under FreeBSD to get my SLIP
connection up, and I use it under OS/2 as my Telnet program, (IBM's telnet is
really slow,) and as my communications program.

You're serial ports have a couple of different names, maybe somebody can even
get me straight on the differences. Firstly, there is tty00 for your first
serial port and the increment from there. I think your serial ports are also
called cua02 or something like that. I'm not so sure on the cua devices. I
use the tty00 devices. Typically, to specify your serial port to something
like slattach you would use "/dev/tty00" without the quotes of course.

I hope this helps, and maybe someone else can clarify the devices.
