ftp://joy.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu/pub/plains/cmu-snmp-2.1.2-current.tgz

compiles as is for FreeBSD 1.x and and FreeBSD-2.0R through
FreeBSD-2.0-950322-SNAP. See the README.FreeBSD-current special instructions
required for FreeBSD-2.0-950412-SNAP and newer. I am not proud of the
changes and that is why I never put this in as a real port.

the instructions in the CMU example is wrong, look at README-FreeBSD.
