The original intention, at least from my perspective, was to have all the
doc _sources_ in SGML but provide preformatted version in ASCII, Postscript
and HTML in /usr/share/doc/<fmt>.  Users low on space could either not
load these or delete them and re-make only the formats of interest to
them.

This will happen at some point soon, but things are sort of slow
on that front while most of us struggle through Release Hell(tm).

None, I'm afraid!  I'm on the hook to write one, and write one I shall
once I'm finished with the 2.0.5/2.1 release-generation process
and can actually make some time for it..  Sigh..
