Under the impression that FreeBSD could run any statically-linked BSDI
binary, I ordered a commercial package which had been ported to BSDI.
Trying to install it on a machine running 2.0RELEASE, I got the following
results:

freebsd:/tmp$ file tgetinfo2

freebsd:/tmp$ ./tgetinfo2

Does anyone have any suggestions or comments? I've got a FreeBSD
subscription from Walnut Creek, so I should be receiving the 2.0.5 CDs
soon; should I just wait and see what happens with them?

FYI
I've also installed the SCO version of the 20/20 spreadsheet program by
Computer Associates.  The installation itself was a little bit of a pain;
the shell script they supplied to do the installation made a couple of
SCO-specific assumptions. However, after performing the various steps
manually, the spreadsheet itself appears to work perfectly. This is part
of an attempt to convert most of our office to FreeBSD; I also have the SCO
version of the local favorite word processor on order. If that works, and
I can solve the problem with the BSDI software, we will have only 2
unix-like operating systems throughout the company -- FreeBSD and Solaris
(on the sparcs).

Thanks to everyone involved in the FreeBSD project; I've found it to be
both a great deal of fun and very useful/reliable, which is a hard
combination to beat (so I'm not even going to try anymore ;-).
