I'm posting this question for my roommate.

He has installed X386 on his 386BSD system. Created the configuration
file.

When he tries to start X, he gets a message CONNOT OPEN /dev/vga!

What is this device, is it just a renamed console or what. If its
a special device driver where is the source code?

Also, are there any good install intructions or does one go for broke or
did he just miss them?

Please just post to the net as he does have RN access.

thanks
B lile
