And, I forgot to say, you always have the alternative of
using a conservative garbage collector and never worry
again about freeing too little or too much (or freeing
at all, that is).   ---Luigi

P.S. the one I know offhand is the Boehm conservative GC
for C/C++, parcftp.xerox.com:pub/gc.
