I have inherited a Sparc 2 running Solaris 1.1. I have setup the resolv.conf
to point to a primary and a secondary nameserver. I can successfully use
nslookup to resolve hostnames. However, I cannot get applications to look
up the names. For example I must use nslookup to find the ip number and then
use the ip number with ping, ftp, telnet, or whatever we run. I do have
included a listing of all the current processes running at this point. Someone
PLEASE help me get the resolver working. Thanks in advance. BTW please
respond via email to prounsavall@nexrad.osf.uoknor.edu.
