During setup, no dos partitions were placed at all. I installed FreeBSD
onto a drive that had no FAT partitions on it; my other two drives were
FAT. I was unable to set the dos partitions mounted as /dos or
whatever. I tried mounting /dev/wd0e, but that caused my system to
reboot (whilst replying to this, no less!).

The floppy mount worked fine, though. Maybe BSD hates my IDE drives,
that's all.

I have taken that into account [see new, updated .sig!].
