Dear all,

I am still searching for a list of BSD-specific commands, and a list of functions/commands
in C(++) which can be used to replace them. Primarily I am interested in the portability
issues in that BSD 'isms are inherently non-portable across platforms.

If anyone can help with either a list of BSD-specifics, that would help.

If anyone can help with a list of BSD-specifics and a suggestion on more portable alternatives
to these commands which are not BSD-oriented, I would be filled with joy as my deadline is
rapidly approaching.

Yours, Jon
