On boot cycle our NE2000 (Ether16) is found at ed1 with 0x300 base addr and
interrupt 5. This seems to be the correct setting for default kernel?

Ethernet card has a link light and traffic light senses packets on the
ethernet.

When ifconfig is given we get a device timeout error such as kernel: ed1:
device timeout error.

Any ideas on why ifconfig is not talking to the card.
