Hi,

I am running FreeBSD 2.0.0-SNAP950322. It doesn't like my CD-ROM.
It says:

(ncr0:4:0): "CHINON CD-ROM CDS-535 Q20" is a type 5 removable SCSI-2
cd0(ncr0:4:0): CD-ROM assertion "cp == np->header.cp" failed: file "../../pci/ncr.c", line 5243
... phase change blah blah asynchronous blah blah...
drive empty

and then, about 50% of the times, it makes the disk controller
go into an infinite loop (disk light on forever, and CD-ROM light
on forever as well).

I don't know what to do other than: 1. try some different SCSI termination;
2. buy a different CD-ROM drive.

I could also look at the sources but that would take a while.
Thanks   ---Luigi
