Out of curiosity, why doesn't GENERIC compile under 2.0-RELEASE and the
most recent snap? I managed to compile the kernel I needed but it seems
like the PROCFS option or having a pseudo device of ppp made it barf.

I could be doing something wrong but I did get the minimal kernel I
needed to compile so I think I am doing this correctly. I didn't read
the src but the LINT kernel config had nothing saying that PROCFS was
broken or conflicted with something else.

If anyone has any light to shed on this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
