Hello all, I am "this" close to running NetBSD on my Sun 3/50. I'm
doing a Net-Boot from my Linux machine. Problem: When I boot the
BSD kernel, it reports: "Using Monitor/Keyboard as console" when
in reality I'm using the 1st serial port as a console. How can
I change this? Do I have to get a different kernel (where)? I
didn't want to go through the trouble of getting a monitor and
keyboard until BSD would boot... any suggestions?

There's a switch on the back of the Sun that brings it up in
diagnostic mode. If you "b le()/netbsd" from the diagnostic monitor I
think that it will use the serial port as the console.
