The FreeBSD.FAQ lists the 3C509 card with a (*), which later shows to
correspond to it having "known problems" What, exactly, are these
problems? Have they been resolved in any of the snapshots, will they be
in 2.0.5? I've found the 3C509 to be an excelland busmastering card in
many other applications, use it now, and would rather not have to
purchase another type of card in order to use FreeBSD :-) I saw another
article about this on this newsgroup, but there was no reply. One would
be greately appreciated, with an explanation of the problem/ solution /
and even a time-frame. Are there / is there a way to recompile the
kernel to enable such support, and is it fully reliable / does it perform
correctly if this is done? Thank you,
