...and the Install Guide, and the ...

Hi!

FreeBSD, Linux, BSD, it all sounds wonderful, and I love the notion that
these OS are made available to next to nothing. But I don't have time at
present to become the Un*x guru and compile my own operating system.
Within the next 45 days, around my 5+ day regular hours I need to be able
to set up an in-house Internet server for teaching classes and have a
"sometimes" 28.8 modem connection to a service provider for real time next
connections.

Basically, I'm hoping to create something that can play host internally
for up to 24 connections, and on-occasion/permanently (at some future
time) connect up to the Internet for true global perspective. I have to be
able to do the ftp, telnet, mail, newsgroups, gopher, www, etc.

What do you think? Am I working on a pipe dream? Can I accomplish it in 45
days? I'm just looking for some clues to direct my search from this point
on. BTW, platform is no object at this point. My training center can put
this together in just about any form. However, it will not be "the latest
greatest" but more along the lines of... well this happened to be sitting
around.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. I'm sure every bit
will help me out. :)
