I realized that some people may want a minimal X window. While I try
to come up with a minimal configuration for general distribution, someone
other than me can come up with a first crack at it.
Personally, I don't think this is an unreasonable request given the
fact that X is publicly availabe, the diffs for X386 1.2e 1.0.1 and
that people have actually built X servers on their machine.

As for X dragging your machine down, first thing that comes up to
my is what is your hardware configuration? And, how much memory
to you have? Also, do you have the patch to the com driver to
solve the select problem.

You mentioned that you would like something niftier. What is it about
X that you think it lacks. Bear in mind that motif and openlook have
been ported to X386 .

If you or anyone can come up with a better windowing system than X
which enjoys such wide support not only on 386bsd but across many
operating systems and that is FREE, Please let me know.
