Help!

I've got FreeBSD 2.0, running on a GW2000 486/66 with the 14.4 Telepath
modem (internal). The boot logs look fine (i.e. sio seems to find COM1
using IRQ4 at 0x3f8), but I can't get cu or tip to dial out the port.
I just get "link down" after 10 seconds.

Just for grins I tried setting the entry in /etc/remote to COM2 (mouse
on that port) and I got the message "unable to synchronize with hayes"
before it failed. This suggests to me it actually got further on
COM2 than COM1.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
   Mike Criscolo
