  Hi.  My name is Alan Hannan and I'm a sysv guy.
  Anyway, I've got a problem with a bsdi box.

 uname -a -->   BSD/386 omaham 1.1 0 i38

  The problem:
  When transferring files from one disk to another, I did this silly thing:

cp -pr /mnt2/* /

  And this broke (significantly) the floptical drive that was on /dev/sd2h.
  When it is attempted to mount, it says: 

  Device not configured.

  Any thoughts?  Do I just need to resetup the floptical, or what?
