I have set up the card and FreeBSD according to the book "TCP/IP Network Administration" by Craig Hunt. Here is the set up. Kernel config. file: device ed0 at isa? port 0x300 net irq 10 iomem 0xd8000 vector edintr ip address: 128.66.12.1 (as in book stated before, system not attached to internet) messages given during boot: ed0 at 0x300 - 0x31f irq 10 on isa address 00:40:95:15:fe:b1, type NE2000 (16bit) right after ifconfig command is given: ed0: device timeout Now my question is: If the system is why is the system giving a device timeout error when I've set everthing up according to what my notes from this news group and the book tells me to do?
